For over thirty years, the founders of EMP have been designing and manufacturing high performance audio products. The Impression Series was created as an affordable, high-performance home theater package. This series includes a sleek and slender tower, elegantly matching bookshelf speaker, center channel speaker and powered subwoofer. The finish is offered in a stunning high gloss red burl or black wood finish with an impressive high gloss black baffle.
The Impression Series speakers feature poly-matrix cone woofers accompanied by aluminized poly-matrix cone midrange woofer. These rigid cones resist flexing and contribute to the accurate reproduction of the audio signal, providing excellent sound quality. The high quality 1-inch fabric dome tweeter delivers effortless upper-mid and high frequencies, and higher power handling is achieved through the use of magnetic liquid cooling. To protect the tweeter against being over-driven, a polyswitch (a current limiting device) is incorporated in the crossover network.
Each Impression Series speaker model features a crossover network with the least number of components to minimize driver interaction irregularities and maximize the ability of each driver to accurately reproduce its respective band of frequencies.The use of high quality five-way binding posts ensure a solid connection.
